One requirement to know first
Continual checks are only possible for staff enrolled on the DBS Update Service — the government subscription that lets a certificate be re-checked. Staff can join it free within 30 days of a new certificate being issued, or for £16 a year otherwise. Anyone not on it cannot be monitored until they are.
